Step into a formal event with head-to-toe confidence. Wear a short, layered hairstyle that looks as fab as the clothes you're wearing. It can be cut in various lengths around the entire head with the longest pieces stopping at the jawline. Knock 'em dead with some hairstyle options that are bound to turn some heads.

Perk up your hair with some wavy layers. After blow-drying the hair, use a small barrel-sized curling iron to twist the ends upward. A small round brush will bring those wavy curls to life. Dazzle guests with some bling and attach a sparkly clip to one side of the hair. Continue the glamour with chandelier earrings, and you'll be special occasion ready.

Voluminous hair can be oh-so-glamorous. Give hair an instant root lift by applying volumizing spray onto wet hair. Take a small barrel-sized curling iron and bend the ends of the hair downward. Push up the roots with your fingers to give this style mega body. Play peek-a-boo with embellished bobby pins pushed into the front of the hair. Give some added oomph to a cocktail dress or gown with hair to die for.

Let the hair do the talking with a layered crop style. No hair accessories needed. The beauty is in the 'do. Chunky layers are cut on top with short pieces on the side and in the back. Apply gel onto wet hair and use your fingers to spike those top layers for a piecey effect. Blow-dry for about five minutes. Sultry is the word with this style that shows off the neck and shoulders. Strut your stuff into a formal event with a jaw-dropping, off-the-shoulder dress and killer stilettos.

Light Curls

Bring on the curls and highlights. Add a little sass to the hair with highlights in a color one or two shades lighter than your natural hair color. Go for pretty and scatter them throughout the hair. Watch those highlights give your complexion some serious glow. Use a medium-sized iron to curl the ends upward. Get ready to strike a pose for pictures at your next formal event.
