If you are planning to slip into your favorite bikini and strut your stuff up and down the beach, you may want to check that absolutely everything is in order. Managing a bikini line can seem scary. You may have horrible imagery of painful waxing or disastrous shaving, but keeping this region neatly trimmed is essential for a successful beach babe look. Once you have the hair management under control, you can stride up and down that seafront looking like a true beach diva!

Waxing

Waxing is among the most popular ways to remove unwanted and unsightly hair. The downside, however, is the grueling pain and sometimes soreness that follows the procedure. Crying like a baby during or after a wax is not unheard of. The good news is that if you are a waxing fan and want to keep your bikini line looking trim, there are pain-relieving sprays and creams that take the sting out of the wax, leaving you smooth as honey. These sprays and creams numb the skin and reduce the pain you feel. They won't get rid of all the feeling, but they take care of a large chunk of it. Apply the cream or spray 15 to 20 minutes before your wax job and you will get the numbing effect that takes the edge off.

Laser

Laser hair removal is another effective option. Lasers always seem to remind people of alien inspections and fighting spaceships, and so it's not hard to see why some people are apprehensive. However, laser hair removal is one of the most efficient and lasting ways to remove hair. Laser treatment can be expensive, but the results are astonishing. You can go from resembling Chewbacca to looking like an absolute stunner within just a couple of sessions.

Hair Inhibitor and Depilatory Creams

Plant extract capislow and soy have contributed a great gift to the hair removal beauty market. Being used in hair inhibitor products, creams that use capislow and soy have been proven to reduce and slow down the growth of hair. If applied twice a day they can change how regularly you have to cut down your bikini area. These products work by acting on the metabolic activity in the bikini line area. Using a depilatory cream, on the other hand, will remove hair as opposed to just slowing down its growth. Depilatory creams work by dissolving the hairs and so can be effective. If you plan to get rid of all the hair in your bikini area the way of the Brazilians, then avoid using a depilatory cream as they can causes irritation.

Shaving

Shaving is always seen as the big no-no when it comes to bikini line hair removal. Be encouraged however, it is totally doable and can still be effective. If laser hair removal, waxing or special creams are too expensive, complicated or your skin doesn't react kindly to them, you can still get your hot beach look with a good old reliable razor. The most important things to remember when shaving your bikini line is to make sure your razor is super sharp, super clean and, if possible, brand new. This way there is less chance of causing infection and complications. Always use a gel to add lubrication; shaving dry skin or just wet skin can be painful and cause issues later. Be wise and use a good toner with witch hazel or perhaps even rosemary to soothe the skin after shaving; this way you steer clear of rashes and other nasty painful ailments.
