Chicks with short hair are often bold, confident and aren't afraid to show off their faces. However, with short hair often comes challenges in ways to make your mane look cuter. Because of the lack of locks, you must be creative when it comes to adding more style. With a little help from a few accessories, tools and products, your hair will look chic and oh-so-adorable.
Curls and Accessories
Part your hair in the center of your head and use a 1-inch curling iron to create ringlets all over your mane (holding the iron vertically instead of horizontally usually creates these types of curls). Place an adorable ribbon around your head, tying it under your hair in the back. Leave this look as is, or clip a flower or otherwise adorable barrette to the ribbon off to the side, above your eye. The curls, combined with the ribbon and the clip, leave you looking and feeling flirty and feminine.
Chic and Straight
Give your short hair a sleek look by running a flat iron all over it in 2-inch sections. Create a deep part on one side and spritz a bit of hairspray to prepare your hair for its accessories. Slide a decorative bobby pin on the side opposite of your part, about 2 inches from the center of your head. Continue to slide more pins below each other. Add a bit of style by alternating smaller and larger pins. Go down as far as you'd like and apply hairspray again to help keep them in place.
Flip Out
Place a dime-sized dollop of texture cream in your hands and work it through the ends of your hair. Run a flat iron over your mane and pay close attention to the ends to make sure they're nice and straight. Use a small curling iron to latch onto the ends of your hair and flip them up to create a cute look. Make them flip up as much or as little as you like--the choice is totally yours. Finish your 'do by applying a bit of shine serum to leave your hair looking shiny and polished.
When You're Short on Time
If you don't have much time but still want to add oomph to your hair, slip on a pretty headband or attach a flower barrette to the hair behind your ear. These looks are easy to pull off in a short amount of time and add an abundance of style to your locks.
