Women can spend up to an hour enhancing their beauty with various makeups. At the end of the day your makeup is either right where you applied it, or it's taken it upon itself to travel around your face. No one likes to see mascara creating dark black circles around her sparkling eyes. This is exactly why the makeup heavens created waterproof makeup. Worry no more ladies, you can go into the pool with a face fully painted and come out without it having moved.
Eyeliner
Having waterproof eye makeup is uber important, and eyeliner is no different. Celebrity makeup artist Brett Freedman, who's worked on Hollywood starlets such as Camilla Belle, Vanessa Hudgens, Sienna Miller and Rosario Dawson, loves Trish McEvoy's black waterproof eyeliner. Freedman says that when he sends an actress to an event, he loves using this product because it really holds up, stays put and is dark. Freedman also loves L'Oreal's Wear Infinite Waterproof Eyeliner. He says its inexpensive, goes on super smooth and lasts through just about anything.
Mascara
Mascara can be super tricky because if your eyes moisten up the slightest bit, it can stream down your cheeks, creating a horrific look. Freedman loves Makeup For Ever Aqua Smoky Lash Mascara. If the name doesn't convince you that the mascara stays on for just about ever, Freedman says it gives you thick long lashes without the fear of the beach, pool, rain and even showers. Imagine not having to reapply mascara after a shower!
Concealer
Concealer can be extremely important to women because it hides pesky flaws such as dark undereye circles and even wrinkles. The summer heat can cause everything from allergies, which lead to teary eyes, to sexy sweat all over your face and under your fabulous eyes. Celebrity makeup artist Andrew Sotomayor loves Lancome's Effacernes concealer. The concealer is fully waterproof, stays put under any moist circumstance and covers up your pesky flaws.
Coverups and Foundations
Sometimes concealers don't get every nook and cranny. For maximum coverage, Sotomayor loves Cover FX foundation. Sotomayor says that it is very waterproof. It also hides just about everything from dark circles to scars because it has hyperpigmentation. Makeup artist Souraya Hamdi loves Estee Lauder's Maximum Cover Camouflage Makeup for Face and Body. It does exactly what the name says, has maximum coverage and is waterproof. Hamdi says that it stays on all day and was originally made for post-surgery patients. It also has the largest range in colors for a waterproof makeup.
Blush
Who would think that blush would be, or even could be waterproof? It makes perfect sense because if tears are streaming down your face, they go straight through the blush. Bridal makeup artist Danielle Trapp loves MAC's Creme blush. She says that although it doesn't claim to be waterproof, it doesn't streak or smear. She says that blushes can act like a barrier to your foundation, especially when happy tears are flowing down at a wedding. Trapp says that in the event a massive tear fest occurs and the blush does smudge, it can be put right back into place with the touch of your fingers.
