Raccoon eyes, smeared lipstick and foundation flaking off the face are fit for evil comic-book villains in garish suits, not for a beautiful woman in a little black dress. Your makeup may say waterproof and smudge-proof on its packaging, but when temperatures heat up, you might find you still get the makeup-melt. Don’t let a little heat or humidity ruin your look; lock your makeup into place with a couple spritzes from a makeup-setting spray bottle. That thin, gentle mist keeps your makeup fresh so you can look fabulous from morning to night.

1.

Shake the spray bottle before use.

2.

Hold the spray bottle 6 to 8 inches from your face and gently close your eyes.

3.

Press down on the spray bottle and mist your face in an “X” formation.

4.

Keep your eyes closed and spray a “T” formation to set the makeup on your T-zone.

5.

Keep your eyes closed for at least 20 seconds to allow the makeup to set into picture-perfect place.

Tips & Tricks

Look for a setting spray that is hypoallergenic and scent-free, and has temperature control.

Setting spray can double as a primer. Mist your face before applying makeup so your foundation, concealer or powder goes on smoother for flawless blending.

Most setting sprays are made with gentle ingredients, but if you get the spray in your eyes, it still might sting. Rinse your eyes with cold water in case of eye contact.
