If your pores aren’t clean, you’re going to be fighting blackheads, whiteheads and clogged pores frequently. A detailed skincare regimen is crucial for a clean and glowing face. Use a skin pore tool to gently clean the gunk out of your pores and make your skin healthier. With a few minutes of effort, you can squeeze oils out to maintain pristinely clean skin.
1.
Get the washcloth wet with hot water and wring it out completely. Swipe the hot washcloth over your face lightly to get your face wet and prepare the skin for extracting the gunk. Another way to prep your face is to fill the sink with hot water and let the steam waft over your skin for a minute or two.
2.
Grab the skin pore tool, also called a comedone extractor, ready to use the end with the metal loop on a blackhead or clogged pore. Position the metal loop squarely over the pore you want to clean.
3.
Press down on the skin pore tool gently to force the oils -- the sebum -- out of the pore. Keep pressing gently while the sebum oozes and stop when the pore empties.
4.
Swipe the tool with isopropyl alcohol to clean it between every pore.
5.
Switch to the piercing side of the tool if you’re dealing with a whitehead. Wait until the whitehead erupts and then poke it gently to release the sebum. Flip the tool around and use the loop end to squeeze out the whitehead gently.
6.
Move on to another pore and do the same thing. Keep working until you clean out your entire face.
If you press on the pore and nothing comes out, stop and try again tomorrow. The trapped sebum might not be ready to come out easily. Amping up the pressure on the skin pore tool can result in permanent scarring.
