Dry, thirsty skin near the delicate eye area can age you like crazy because it worsens the look of crow's feet, or lines that creep up in the outer corners of your eyes. But savvy shoppers who want to soften the area around the eyes know you don't have to drop a bundle on high-end, over-the-top moisturizing treatments. If you've got a bottle of olive oil in your kitchen cabinet, this all-natural skin nourisher could be just the thing to help you smooth, soothe and plump up your parched peepers.

Cleanse with your favorite facial cleanser and then rinse well with tepid water. Lightly pat excess water from your face with a soft towel, but do not rub it dry.

Apply a few drops of extra virgin olive oil to a cotton ball, then apply the oil to still-damp skin. The olive oil penetrates deeply into the layers of the skin to provide intense moisturizing.

Use olive oil around the eyes at night for long-lasting moisture to keep skin smooth and supple. When using the olive oil during the day, add a few drops of water to the olive oil to cut the greasy feeling.
