Dry, flaking skin is not in, so when you see it coming on, it's time to exfoliate. Using an exfoliating gel will get rid of the dead skin and reveal a silky-soft smoothness. But you must use exfoliating gel the right way so you don't irritate your skin and make the problem worse. By the time you're done, your skin will be as smooth as your sexy patent leather heels!

1.

Turn the shower on warm and hop in. Wet down your body thoroughly.

2.

Put about a quarter-sized amount of exfoliating gel onto a loofah or washcloth. Rub the loofah or washcloth over your skin in gentle, circular motions. Scrub only for a few seconds in each spot; that's all you need to get the nasty skin off.

3.

Rinse your body well with lukewarm water. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel.

Tips & Tricks

Don't exfoliate your skin too often or you risk irritation. Once or twice weekly is all that's necessary. If you have oily skin, you need to exfoliate less often than if you have dry skin.

If you want to exfoliate your face, use a gel specifically designed for facial exfoliation. Apply the gel in gentle, circular motions with your fingertips. Rinse and dry your face well.

Keep exfoliating gel out of your eyes and the skin surrounding the eyes.
