Aloe vera gel's nourishing properties gives coarse African-American hair a deep moisturizing boost for vibrant, luxe tresses. Use aloe vera gel as a touch-up when you need to show your locks some love or as a conditioning treatment for dry, brittle hair. Make aloe vera an everyday thing or a sometime thing, but definitely put this all-natural all-star in your healthy hair regimen.

1.

Measure 1/4 cup of aloe vera gel in a bowl. Add the juice from a half lemon and a few drops of essential oil for fragrance. Omit the oil if you don't want a scented treatment.

2.

Mix your concoction together with a spoon for a super nourishing hair boost.

3.

Hop in the shower and shampoo your hair. Rinse out the shampoo thoroughly.

4.

Put the aloe gel solution on your hair instead of conditioner. Saturate your locks with the whole mixture.

5.

Let the aloe soak in for up to five minutes. Rinse your hair thoroughly to remove all the aloe.

6.

Touch up your style by putting a bit of aloe vera gel directly on your roots, locks or ends. Don't use too much because the gel can feel crunchy when it dries.
