Overview
Silk wrap skirts, like the Urban Nomad skirt, are made from recycled sari fabrics. These bohemian-chic garments are more than just an everyday wrap skirt. Wear your Urban Nomad skirt as a sweeping and romantic wrap skirt or wrap and tie your skirt into a top or dress. Take your Urban Nomad skirt on a great adventure or wear it around town on the weekend.
1.
Wrap your Urban Nomad skirt around your waist. Thread one tie through the buttonhole on the opposite side. Pull the ends around your waist and knot on the back, side or front. Wear your skirt with the shorter tier on top or go simple by wearing the long side of your skirt facing out. Gather the short layer at one hip and knot the sides together for a different look that will create curves or show off your shape.
2.
Wear a shorter Urban Nomad skirt as a top or tunic over leggings or skinny jeans. Hold the skirt behind you, bringing one side to the front and over your shoulder. Pull the other side across your chest, under your bustline. Tie the two straps behind your back for a one-shoulder style top. For a halter-top style, hold your skirt behind your back. Bring the ties up and knot them behind your head. Grab the shorter layer of the skirt and tie it securely just under your bust.
3.
Turn your Urban Nomad silk wrap into a strapless top or dress. Tie your skirt just under the bust. Pull the upper layer up to cover your breasts, gathering and folding it as needed. Knot it behind your back. Worn long, this dress can go to a beach party or offer a sexy alternative to your usual swimsuit coverup.
4.
Tie your skirt into a soft and flowing dress. Hold your skirt behind your back with the long layer on the outside and tie a knot in front of you, well away from your body. Crisscross the knotted strap and slip your head through the opening. Hold the outer, long layer of your skirt, crossing it behind you and knotting in the front.
Always double knot your skirt for the most secure fit.
Add a safety pin or two if you're worried about your skirt, dress or top slipping.
