You've got newly highlighted hair and you absolutely love it. So why not show off your highlighted tresses with a trendy 'do? The best part is that some of the hottest hairdos are actually really easy to do, so don't think you have to be professionally trained like your favorite stylist. Take on the task yourself and have fun playing around with different styles that are sure to wow.

Fishtail Braid

A fishtail braid looks more difficult to do than it actually is. Work some texturizing cream through your tresses to get more of a "roughed up" look, which is what you want for this style. Pull your hair over to one side, making a far side part, and divide the hair in half. Pull a small section of hair from the outside of one section over to the inside of the other. Vice versa with the second section. Keep plaiting down your hair this way and secure the ends with an elastic. Tug gently on the sides of the braid from top to bottom to loosen it up a bit. Your highlights look really cool in the weaving of the braid.

High Pony

A high ponytail style is super cute and shows off your highlights in all the right ways. Rake your hair together -- this style works on freshly washed and slightly dirty hair -- into a ponytail shape at the crown of your head. Secure it there with an elastic. Use a large-barrel curling iron -- the bigger the better, so bust out the big one -- to create big, loose curls at the ends of your ponytail hair. Make a few or just one large single curl; it adds bounce to your pony and makes your look flirty and fun.

Mermaid Waves

Mermaid waves are to die for, and in combination with your highlights creates mega-volume and definition in your hair. A triple-barrel curling iron is all you need to master this magnificent, trendy style. Part your hair -- a center or side part works just as well -- and work in sections of about three inches each around your head to create instant waves your hair. Finish with a light misting of hairspray to set your style.

Loose Bun

There's something so classic and effortlessly chic about a loose bun; it never goes out of style. It only takes seconds to do -- literally -- so it's also a great style when you're rushing out the door. Pull your hair together and twist it around a couple of times. Form it into a bun shape against the back of your head -- higher or lower on your head, doesn't matter -- and secure it in place with some bobby pins.
