When it comes to skirts, it's not only the so-short-you-can't-bend-over ones that are stylish. Long gypsy skirts are just as lovely and for regular day to day wear, more comfortable and sensible. You don't actually have to caravan around and read from a crystal ball to wear a gypsy skirt. This style of skirt is really popular and a lovely piece to wear, whether you're heading to the market to pick up some yummy goodies for breakfast or going to a beach party at night.

1.

Wrap your skirt around yourself, with the top of the skirt resting at about your waistline. You can sit it higher or lower, whatever you want, it's all about your own preference and comfort here.

2.

Hold the tie strings in your hands, pulling the skirt so it's snug around you. Most gypsy skirts wrap around with ties only on one side, and you can make the skirt tighter or a bit looser fitting around you, as long as it's snug enough to not fall right off you.

3.

Hold the ties out and cross one over the other, tucking the end of the top tie underneath and up through the loop you've created.

4.

Pull the ties apart from each other to tighten the knot, and then knot it again to secure it in place. Leave the ties loose or, if they're long enough, tie them into a pretty bow.

Tips & Tricks

If your skirt has a tie on both sides, simply tie one side up and then the other, using the same tying method.
