How to Tie a Female Knot Scarf

Overview

A scarf, when tied properly and not just tossed on over your head in an evil-witch-in-a-fairytale way, can add instant style and glamour to any look. Some women forget that scarves can be worn any time of year and shouldn't only get to come out of the closet when the blizzards start. If you want to style your scarf into a knot, there's one basic way to do it, and don't worry, it's really easy.

1.

Hold up the scarf in front of you with one end in each hand. A rectangular scarf works best for this.

2.

Fold the scarf in half.

3.

Wrap the scarf around to the back of your head, keeping it folded, so you have a loop end over one shoulder and the two ends together over the other.

4.

Take the two ends and pull them through the loop end.

5.

Push up on the loop to tighten the scarf so it sits snugly around your neck. You can make it sit as close to your neck as you want.

Tips & Tricks

For a colorful, layered look, use two thinner scarves in different colors and tie them together.
