Blazers have the reputation of being structured and pretty conservative, which is exactly why they look so cool with shorts that are meant to be worn casually. If you're looking to make a fashion statement, try pairing your shorts with a boyfriend blazer. Boyfriend blazers are a little less fitted -- they're meant to look like you're wearing your boyfriend's jacket. Once you've got your shorts and jacket together, make sure you nail the rest of your look too.
Go structured all over and slip on a button-up blouse. Try tucking yours into your shorts and belting it to give it more shape. This looks cool with short shorts since you're all covered up on top, but if you want to go more conservative, a longer pair of shorts looks on trend too.
Sometimes simple is best, especially if you have a brightly colored or embellished pair of shorts or a blazer. So, if you want to go more basic, try a camisole. Because camisoles are fitted, they work perfectly with your more roomy blazer. If you want to show off your shape a bit, leave your blazer unbuttoned to showcase your fab curves.
A T-shirt works if you're wearing casual shorts or if you're wearing something more dressy like silk or leather. A simple T-shirt works fine, or if you want something a bit more interesting, try a patterned tee. Stripes are always a fantastic detail as are bright prints and florals. Glam your look up a bit by slipping on a chunky statement necklace.
Heels and flats both look chic with a boyfriend blazer and shorts. Try a ballet flat to keep your look more demure. If you want to add height, pumps are a great option, as are strappy high heel sandals. Make your look more edgy by opting for a bootie instead. This look will work with a flat bootie, one with a heel or even a wedged one, so take your pick.
