Thick vertical stripes and thin vertical stripes can create vastly different results, so use the right ones and make your stripes stunning.
Thick Vertical Stripes
Not all vertical stripes have the same winning result. While they’re traveling in the right direction, wide vertical stripes produce the wrong effect. Instead of trimming your form, the wide stripes pull attention from side to side. The result? You’re going to look heavier and wider than you really are.

Diagonal Chevrons
Similar to thin vertical stripes, wearing diagonal stripes that resemble chevrons is another fierce wardrobe trick that will slim you effectively. Especially if the diagonals meet at the center of your body, the eye immediately travels up and down to create a super-long appearance.
