Let's face it --- owning Louis Vuittons is every girl's dream. Louis Vuitton is famed for its luxurious and quality footwear, from heels to sneakers. However, there are a lot of fakes on the market with sellers pretending they are the real deal. When splashing out on luxurious LVs, as they are affectionately called, the last thing you want is to realize your money has been wasted on counterfeits. To avoid any disappointment, becoming streetwise to spotting fake Louis Vuitton shoes is essential.

1.

If there are no Louis Vuitton stores nearby, then it can seem easier to buy your shoes online. And no one would blame you! Unfortunately for us fashion lovers, many sites and auction sellers pretend the counterfeit shoes are real to make large profits. In reality, few online retailers sell genuine Louis Vuitton shoes. If the low price seems too good to be true, they are most likely fakes, so close that tab straight away! Auction sites often picture the shoes with a yellow authenticity tag; however, Louis Vuittons do not come with such a tag, which is a sure sign that they aren't real. To guarantee authenticity, researching authorized sites before you purchase is a must, and let's be honest, researching shoes isn't the the worst way to spend your time!

2.

If you are unsure if a pair of Louis Vuittons are real or not, there are some simple know-how ways to spot a fake. Once ordered, your shoes, if genuine, will arrive in a brown Louis Vuitton shoe box, which will include a monogram soft dust bag. Unlike Louis Vuitton's famous handbags, shoes do not come with a validation card. The inside of the shoe has a serial number/date and "made in France" stamp which will prove the authenticity. If the inside only shows the size, then do not buy!

3.

The way your shoe looks is a great indicator as to whether your Louis Vuitton shoes are real, so get your inspector on and have a look for these signs. Noted for their quality, all the stitches are seamless and the leather is never faux. The Louis Vuitton symbol is always displayed on the outside of the shoe, whether the side, back or even on the bottom. If the shoe looks scuffed or the materials look cheap, it's better to carry on searching than risk investing in a fake pair.

4.

Getting a pair of designer shoes makes you feel special, so it's worthwhile investing some time in researching your shoes. If you see a pair of to-die-for Louis Vuitton heels for a low price, visit the official Louis Vuitton site to see if the shoes are on there, and if so, what features they have. For instance, if the ones you have found are a different color from the ones shown online, then they are likely to be copies. Louis Vuttion only officially sells its shoes in its stores or online in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, Japan and the United States, so if you want a guaranteed genuine pair, the official Louis Vuitton website or store is the place to visit. Then you can walk in your new beautiful shoes with the pride of knowing they are the real deal!
