Gucci definitely makes lots of hot ticket items that fashion lovers flock to buy. That includes pretty much everything the brand makes, even belts. It's pretty much common knowledge that there are people that peddle fake Gucci items, so when you go to buy your Gucci belt, you'll want to make sure that you're buying the real thing. Learn how to identify a real Gucci belt so you don't run the risk of being duped.
Pay attention to the details. Every Gucci belt will have a stamp that says "Made in Italy." All Gucci products are made in Italy, so if your belt has a stamp that says it's made anywhere else, it's definitely a fake.
If your belt has a buckle, take a close look at it. The Gucci logo is two Gs facing each other. You will find some belt buckles that have a single G as well, but if your belt has a logo buckle it will only be one of these two designs.
Every Gucci belt has a serial number. It will be located on the inside of the belt. If yours doesn't have a serial number, it's not an authentic Gucci. If your belt does have a serial number but you're still not sure if it's real, jot the number down and call Gucci directly or take it to a Gucci store to see if a representative can authenticate the number for you.
Because Gucci is a luxury item, all of their products are made out of high quality materials. If you have a leather belt, the leather should be soft and supple to the touch. If your belt is metal, it should feel fairly heavy in the hand since quality metal weighs more than fake metals, which counterfeiters mostly use. If you're still not sure, when you take your trip to that Gucci store, pick up a belt, feel it and compare it to yours.
Learn the particular details of the specific belt that you want to buy. The best way to do this is to look at a real belt in person, or, if you don't feel like swinging by that Gucci store, go to the Gucci website. It'll give you multiple photos and descriptions of each item. Make sure the belt you buy, measures up before you put down your hard earned cash.
