Taylor Swift's winged eye look is soft, subtle and uber-sexy, especially when paired with shimmery eye shadows for a feminine eye look. Luckily for round-eyed girls, the shapes and shades Taylor loves to use for this look super-complement your eye shape, so you can easily score a hot new makeup look! Getting Taylor's wing look takes a little practice but should not be too tricky, so break out your fave liquid liner and get going for a hot new you.
1.
Get your eyeshadow down first: Taylor uses soft, shimmery hues like lilac, but round eyed girls should go a bit darker -- like plum or taupe -- to elongate the eye shape. Apply your shadow up to the crease in your eye with an eye brush. Work the shadow out to the outer corners of your eyes. When you're done, the shadow should extend over the whole eye from left to right, and as far up as the crease.
2.
Begin lining the top of your eyes in dark liquid eyeliner. Taylor uses black if you really want to bite her style, which is totally convenient for round-eyed girls who look best in darker hues. Start one-third of the way over from your inner eye crease (near your nose) and draw short overlapping strokes, working toward the outer edge of the eye.
3.
Make a soft V-shape to get Taylor's wing look: When you get to the outer eye crease, work the liquid liner up in an arc. Soft and subtle's the key here; Taylor goes for a touch of wing action, not a huge swoop.
4.
Line the outer lower lid with your eyeliner. Taylor goes for just the outer third, but round-eyed girls tend to look smoking with the whole lower lid lined. Up to you.
5.
Coat your top lashes only with black mascara, going heavier on the outer edge. This helps elongate your eyes into the almond shape and totally complements your Taylor look, too.
