From Reese Witherspoon to Olivia Wilde, celebrities across the board are known to rock a bang every now and then. Not only do they add serious style to your 'do, but they frame your gorgeous face as well. So it's super important to make sure they look good. And, fortunately, doing so is a cinch.
First Things First
To get your bangs looking sleek and chic, you have to tackle them when they're wet. So take a quick shower and suds up with shampoo that enhances your color -- it'll make your hair look glossy and sheen. Then squirt one drop of light shine serum into the palm of your hand and rub your hands together. Run your fingers through your bangs to distribute the serum and your bangs will give off a nice shine.
Blunt Bang Blowout
A blow dryer is a gal's best friend when it comes to styling bangs. Hold the dryer above your bangs and aim the nozzle at the roots. Prevent them from moving around by clamping a two-inch section with your fingers. Then move the dryer back and forth from the roots to the tips. When they are just about dry, curve the ends under with a flat brush.
Side-Swept Sweep
If you've got the flirty side-swept thing going on, use the same technique as with the blunt bang style until they are almost dry. Then use a paddle brush to curve them in the opposite direction of your part. Flip them back to your normal side when they are totally dry and you should have bangs that lie nice and smooth.
The Finishing Touch
You're close, but your beautiful bangs aren't done yet. If you want super straight bangs that lie right against your forehead, go over them with a small flat iron, beginning mid-strand and working your way down. When you're satisfied with how they look, spritz a light layer of hair spray over top. Your bangs should look gorgeous and stay in place all day.
