1.
Brush your hair well to remove all the tangles.
2.
Separate a small 1-inch square section of hair, centered at your front hairline and comb it smooth. Fasten this section of hair tightly with an elastic hair band. Divide equal sections to the left and right of the first section along your hairline and fasten an elastic hair band tightly around each section. You will probably end up with five or seven tiny ponytails.
3.
Divide the center ponytail in half and divide the ponytail to the right of center in half. Place the right half of the first ponytail and the left half of the second ponytail together to make a new ponytail. Fasten this ponytail tightly with an elastic hair band so it sits about 1 inch below the first ponytails.
4.
Divide the ponytail to the left of center in half and combine the right half of this ponytail with the left half of the center ponytail to make a new ponytail. Fasten this ponytail tightly again.
5.
Keep working to divide each ponytail in half and combine each half with half of the ponytail beside it.
6.
Finish the style by pulling all the little ponytails together into one big ponytail with a big elastic hair band. Check it out in the mirror -- you should have a lacy web covering your head!
The more ponytails you make along your hairline, the more intricate the "spider web" will be. If you want a basic spider web style, make only three ponytails -- one in the center and one on each side.
