The best way to show off a fierce pedicure is by rocking an awesome pair of thong sandals; however, your toes may disagree. Thong sandals come in a variety of styles, with the most commonly one known as flip-flops. Flip-flops are cute, but the pain caused by the strap in between the first and second toe can be horrendous. Before you throw on your fabulous sandals there are a few ways that you can soften the strap in between your toes.

1.

Clean the thong strap by wiping it with a cloth damped with isopropyl alcohol. Spray a few mists of leather conditioner onto the thong strap. Work the solution up and down the strap for five minutes or so. Allow the solution to dry to soften the strap.

2.

Apply a generous amount of petroleum jelly to the thong strap and allow the shoe to sit for an hour or so. Petroleum jelly is not only good for softening your skin, but it can also soften the strap in between your toes. Wipe the greasy residue from the strap to complete the process.

3.

Apply padding to the strap, such as moleskin or an adhesive bandage. The padding will create a barrier between the strap and your precious toes, which will make them feel softer.
