Making your hair look good doesn't have to be an all day process. There are actually some simple styles that not only take no time to do, but are easy to do yourself and look totally chic and trendy. Make your hair look fab with a well done blowout, and just wear it as is. Or, pull it into a cute updo, slick it back or make it wavy. All are super simple but look totally great.

Slick it Back

This style looks best on short hair. Actress Emma Watson is a fan of this look. Here's how InStyle.com magazine suggests you get the look: After washing and drying your hair, work mousse or gel throughout locks. Brush them back so they slick right to the head. Let hair air dry, or if your hair is naturally frizzy, dry it with a blow-dryer. The result is an incredibly polished, totally modern look.

Waves

Get gorgeous wavy locks overnight. Allure.com magazine suggests a clever way to pull this off: Just apply mousse to towel-dried hair, pull hair into a low bun, securing it with an elastic band. In the morning take your bun out, run your fingers through your hair and you're ready to go. If you have thick hair that takes longer to dry, blast your locks with a blow-dryer for a few minutes before removing your bun.

Perfect Blowout

You're probably going to dry your hair anyway, so why not perfect the blowout? A well done blowout doesn't necessarily require any additional styling, so master the technique for yourself. Here's how Glamour.com suggests you do it: Divide hair into three sections. If your hair dryer comes with a nozzle, make sure to clip it on. It'll create a more efficient stream of heat to the hair. Blow-dry each section about 80 percent dry. Then, use a brush combined with your dryer to finish your blowout. Let your tresses dry completely. Then finish them off with a blast of cold air. This will help to really lock in shine.

Chic Updo

If you have somewhere fancy to be, try a simple updo that looks much more complicated than it actually is to do. Work styling cream into your hair. Then pull it into a ponytail, securing it with an elastic band. Twist it into a bun shape, but only about three quarters of the way. Let the rest of your hair hang loose. Sport the look as a half updo, or pull all your locks back. Both ways look fab.
