A crease in the side of your hair is a major bummer. After all, who wants a big old dent in her 'do? Whether the crease is caused from a hair accessory or just showed up after you snoozed, you need to get rid of it, pronto. Fortunately, a few hairstyles allow you to mask that crease or to take advantage of it.
Blow It Out
If rocking a side hair crease is not in your plans for the day, you'll need to work it out. Do so by applying a bit of water to the area, then blow-drying it while using a flat brush. The combination of the water and heat will cause the crease to take a hike and leave you with straight hair again. Run a flat iron over the top of the rest of your 'do for a totally sleek look.
Embrace The Crease
If you've already got wavy or curly hair, there's no need to take those extra steps to get rid of the crease; you can embrace it. Simply wet your hair, then let it air-dry. The curls or waves will form and no one will be the wiser of any crease. Or you could work some curl cream or gel through your wet tresses and get your scrunch on. The curls or waves mask the crease and your hair will look better than ever.
If you don't have much time to get ready, throw your hair up into a messy ponytail. The beauty of this hairstyle is that it doesn't have to be sleek; it can have a few lumps and bumps in it and still look totally sexy. Simply pull your hair up, then secure it with a hair tie. The crease will blend in perfectly and actually create some sexy texture in your hair.
Instead of working that crease out, work with it. If the crease isn't too far down on the side of your hair, create a part where it rests. Then pull the rest of your hair back into a low ponytail or bun. The crease isn't visible since the part is situated there and your hair will look seriously chic with this cute style.
