Most people think updos are reserved for ladies with longer locks. But did you know that your bob can be coiffed into tons of fab updos too? Since you're working with shorter hair, it does take a little more creativity, but it definitely can be done. So, don't always wear your shorter hair down. Pull it up into a sexy, flirty updo that's sure to have you turning heads.
There's not much that's sexier than curls. They also add fantastic volume to your hair. Start by using a 1-inch curling iron to create ringlets all over your head. Next, tease your hair at the roots, misting it with hair spray to keep your lift in place. Bobby pin your curls down in the back. Then, pull the rest of your curls toward the back-center of your head and pin them in place as well.
If you've got short hair, fake it 'til you make it. Just part your hair on the side and tease it all over. Then, pull your hair back and push it up so you create a poof. Twist any loose hair and bobby pin it in place. Your poof gives the illusion of having much more hair than you do and creates a fun and flirty updo.
Your bob-length hair is long enough to pull into an elegant bun. The key is wearing it at the nape of your neck to get the most of out your length. Start by parting your hair on the side. Then sweep it back and twist it into a bun, securing it in place with a few bobby pins.
Intentionally Messy Updo
Here's a little twist on the classic French twist. It's a little bit messy, which always ups the sexy factor. Just part your hair on the side and, starting at the nape of the neck, twist your hair up and towards the center of your head. Bobby pin as you go. Since you have a bob, a few pieces will fall out. Go ahead and let them. It only adds to the style's appeal.
