To add curl and volume to their marvelous manes, many gals choose the round brush to work its magic. In conjunction with a blow-dryer, a round brush can add oomph, sexiness and style to lackluster locks. Round brushes are easy-to-use and even the most clueless of chicks can learn how to master the simple technique. When you're not in the mood to use a curling iron to enhance your 'do, or are in the mood for something a bit more voluminous, reach for the round brush and you will make heads turn.

1.

Blow-dry your fabulous mane until it is about 70 percent dry. Grab the hair with a flat brush and hold the dryer against it to dry your hair. Flip your hair over and apply the blow-dryer air to your roots to add volume. You will be left with sex-kitten oomph that will make everyone --- even you --- drool.

2.

Grab the end of a section of your hair with the round brush --- the brush's bristles will likely grab and latch onto the hair. Flip the brush either under or up, depending on the look you are going for.

3.

Direct the blow-dryer so that its air is aimed directly at the brush. Since the high setting on most blow dyers is almost equivalent to that of a jet plane's power, place the setting on the dyer to low, until you get the hang of this technique. Otherwise, you will be left with hair flying all over the place that would take a lasso to wrangle.

4.

Squirt a bit of hair spray on the hair in the brush to help hold the voluminous curl. Allow the air to hit the hair for 10 to 15 seconds. Turn the dryer off and allow the hair to set undisturbed on the brush for five to 10 seconds. This cooling-off period is what will keep your curls in place and make the difference between a coif that is control and one that is a hot mess.

5.

Remove the brush carefully from the hair, and you should be left with a stunning curl or flip, depending on the positioning of the brush. The brush might try to latch onto the hair like a stage-five clinger, so you may need to wrestle it a bit to remove it completely. Repeat the process on all of your hair, and you should be left with a style that is both bountiful and bodacious.
