If the word "pimple" makes you shudder, you're certainly not alone. Few -- and very few at that -- girls don't deal with pimples and outbreaks at some point in their lives. Whether you get the typical acne during your teenage years or when you're a bit older, at least you know you're not the only one. Pimples often show up in the strangest places, and that includes on the earlobes. No matter where those buggers may appear, you can get rid of them and enjoy clear, beautiful skin.

1.

Keep your ears clean. You know how your mother always told you to "clean behind your ears"? Well it's definitely true in this case ... sort of. Just like with acne on your face, you need to keep your skin clean, especially in areas where you tend to get a lot of pimples. Wash around the ear area once a day; a warm facecloth and some gentle facial cleanser works well.

2.

Keep the area moisturized. It's a careful line you have to walk with moisturizer: Too little can cause irritation, while too much can result in a buildup of oil that can cause more pimples. Whew ... exhausting, huh? To avoid this, stick to only moisturizing once per day, and apply moisturizer sparingly. Opt for a natural moisturizing product that is cream-based and specially formulated for acne-prone skin.

3.

Dab some tea tree oil on the pimples. Tea tree oil is natural, so there are no unfavorable side effects. Plus, it's cheap and a little bit goes a long way. A small container of tea tree oil should last you until those ugly pimples are gone. It reduces the amount of bacteria on the skin and relieves inflammation and redness, meaning those pimples will go away faster. Use your finger or, even better, a clean cotton swab to apply the stuff.

4.

Try a medicinal treatment for the pimples on your earlobes. Topical treatments like benzoyl peroxide are often prescribed by doctors and dermatologists to patients dealing with acne and outbreaks. These usually get applied in the same way as tea tree oil and other spot treatments; refer to the instructions on the product to be sure.
