While running from one fab meeting to the next, the heel tip of your favorite stilettos breaks. What do you do? Do you ditch the heels? Take them to the shoe repair and get overcharged? No, girl, you cop a DIY attitude and fix that faulty shoe yourself. With a few tools, a little time and a can-do 'tude you can become your own personal cobbler.
1.
Use the pliers to pull the plastic tip off of your heel. Depending on how much of the tip is left, this step may take a little elbow grease.
2.
Pull the pin out of the heel, using your pliers.
3.
Dab a small amount of super glue around the heel tip edge. The leather may be a little loose or frayed, and this will repair it.
5.
Slip the new heel tip in.
6.
Hit the tip square on with a hammer a few times so it is securely in the shoe.
7.
Strut around in your heels, and show off your fierce shoe repair skills.
