No matter how cute your favorite tee is, it's hard to look confident and fashion-forward when you're constantly readjusting your shirt tag. Maybe it sticks up out of your shirt and has to be tucked back in, or maybe it's just itchy. Either way, you're better off without it! Luckily, you can get rid of that pesky tag with just a couple of common tools. So grab some scissors and a seam ripper and get ready to be tag-free!
1.
Turn the shirt inside out and lay it on a table with the tag facing up. The tag will be more easily accessible this way.
2.
Cut off as much of the tag as you can with a pair of scissors, without getting too close to the fabric of the shirt. Having holes in your tee is no better than having an itchy tag!
3.
Pick out the stitches connecting the tag to the shirt, using a seam ripper. Be gentle! Even if the seam ripper itself doesn't tear the shirt, the pressure of the threads may cause the shirt to rip.
4.
Gently pull the loose threads away and pick out the remaining threads that may not be quite loose yet, using the seam ripper. Soon you'll be free of that pesky tag!
5.
Pull the tag away off the shirt. Your favorite tee just became even more comfy!
Use a pair of tweezers (they're not just for plucking eyebrows!) to remove the threads to make it a little easier.
Be careful to not cut or poke holes in your shirt or in your fingers for that matter!
