Designer and fashion icon Lauren Conrad made headlines for her awesomely fab rainbow hair. Are you wondering how she got her look and if you can rock it too? You can -- rainbow hair is a look anyone can do hersefl, and it is pretty simple. There is now wrong way with this dye-job, so pull on your gloves.
Bleach the tips of the hair you want to color if you have darker locks. If you have blond hair, you are ready to go.
Mix all of the colors you chose, snap on gloves and throw on an old T-shirt. Separate the strands you want to dye and begin applying the colors generously.
Let the color sit as per the directions on the box. Rinse and style.
Whole Head Color
Section your hair on one side of your head with the end of a comb and pin up each with a clip as you go along. You should end up with several sections going back horizontally.
Color each section, taking extra care not to touch the surrounding sections. Wrap the section in foil and pin it up to ensure it doesn't touch any other sections. Let the color set according to the directions on the box.
Rinse your hair in the sink, carefully tackling each section individually. Rinsing can be a bit tricky. You don't want to compromise the color of the other sections by having the color bleed.
If you think this is too much, or you are just not a risk taker, try a temporary color or clip-ons, You get the same fun look, but with little to no commitment.
If you hate the rainbow look, or something went awry, hit up your stylist for a back to basics fix.
