There have been many queens that ruled all over the world. Centuries ago, they made a statement not by waving a wand but by their clothes and hairstyles. There hairstyles were usually bold and sometimes provocative by today's standards. However, their hair legacies lives on in modern royal styles.
Queen Cleopatra
This Egyptian queen wore a jet-black wide, straight-cut bang an inch above her eyebrows. The rest of her bone-straight strands mixed with braids and jewels fell down her back and along her face. The retro glam mushroom bob and other straight bobs with straight bangs are similar hairstyles of this queen's infamous locks. There are plenty of wigs that are made in the style. You can also use a clip-on bang and track extensions in the back to achieve this look if you don't want to cut your hair. Make sure the hair is of great quality like remy Indian hair for the most attractive and convincing look.
Queen Guinevere
This queen's hair tresses hung very long down her back and around her face with a fancy hair piece on top. The long tresses are like the hair strands of a modern-day Beyonce. If your hair isn't super long, the best way to get this look is with a lace-front wig that should be done by a professional. You would have your real hair plaited or pinned down with pins then cover it with a cap. The wig would then be glued or sewed down to around your entire end and in the middle. If you don't like wigs, try clip-on extensions for length and volume or your can also sew in long tracks.
Queen Marie Antoinette
The "Belle Poule" hairstyle is this queen's famous hairstyle, in which she wore her hair big and up in tight curls all over with a ship mirroring the famous ship in a battle on top. Today, her hairstyle would be a smaller retro curly updo. For this look, curl your hair all over. You can add curly track extensions for volume and length. Brush your hair up with gel toward the center of your head then use bobby bins to keep it intact. Add hair accessories like faux flowers or decorated headbands.
Queen Elizabeth
This queen is still living and wears tight curls all over, mirroring a mushroom. It's a simple style, on which a crown can easily fit. Modern-day queens are not as bold with hairstyles as past queens. Modern-day queens usually go with simple, conservative styles. This is a short hairstyle that can be longer with extensions if your real hair is short already. Use roller curlers all over your head overnight or curl with a hot curler or flat iron to achieve this look. If you decide against using extensions, the upkeep will be of higher maintenance because you may have to roll it every night or curl it every morning.
