You're out on the town, feeling like hot stuff and sipping sexily on a glass of red wine. Next thing you know, you've somehow forgotten how to close your mouth and wine dribbles down and stains your shirt. Aside from screaming and running out of the event like a madwoman, there are ways to handle this situation. First, calm your nerves by taking another sip of the crimson bliss; then look around for a few items and a private place where you can administer some savvy stain removal.
1.
Grab a bottle of white wine. No, you aren't going to use the tasty liquid to drown your sorrows; rather, pour it over the stain. The white wine neutralizes the stain and removes the red pigment from your shirt, resulting in a stain-free piece of clothing. Allow the stain to dry, and rock that shirt again with confidence.
2.
Pour salt or talcum powder over the stain. Leave the substances on the stains for about five minutes, to allow them to absorb the red liquid. Shake the powder or salt off the shirt or use a scrub brush to encourage it to take a hike. The stain should be gone, and your shirt should look hot again.
3.
Place the stained area of your shirt in a bit of boiling water, while not wearing it, of course. Keep the shirt in the water until you see the stain seep away from the fabric. Allow the shirt to dry, then wear it like it never happened.
4.
Dip a clean cloth in club soda or milk. Gently blot the stain to coerce it to come out. It may take several minutes of blotting action, but it will be worth all the effort when you're looking fine in your sassy shirt.
