Oil That Won't Clog Your Pores

Many natural and essential oils are easily absorbed into the skin without clogging or blocking pores.

While there are a variety of oils that can help moisturize your skin, there is always the fear that an oil that moisturizes can sometimes end up blocking your pores. Many oils are too thick and heavy and rest on your skin's surface. Mineral oil that's used to make baby oil is a good example. However, there are various natural oils that are very light and absorbed quickly.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a very light and thin oil is terms of its texture and consistency. As a result, it's easily absorbed into skin. Coconut oil is used to treat various skin diseases including psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis. Coconut oil is an excllent moisturizer and keeps skin supple and youthful.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil, also known as Simmondsia chinensis, grows in Mexico. It is a natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. In addition to seeping into the pores and filtering easily, jojoba oil actually fights blemishes and pimples by challenging the bacteria. Jojoba oil also has anti-inflammatory properties and limits the redness caused by spots.

Tea Tree

Tea tree oil is one of the best oils to use on your skin. It is quickly absorbed and rapidly takes effect. In addition to not blocking your pores, tea tree oil will combat bacteria, infection and excess oil in the skin. Tea tree oil is a natural anti-bacterial, meaning it will cleanse and heal blemishes.


Calendula is a sweet-smelling oil collected from various annual plants known as the Calendula variety. These flowers are bright yellow and orange and have a strong fragrance. Calendula oil is light in consistency and texture and so absorbs quickly into the skin. Calendula is used on sensitive skin in particular. It is also an excellent moisturizer.
