Maybe you just got engaged or you're just a fan of the diamond rings and have yourself a little collection; either way, you're one lucky gal. But either way, you want to show off your diamond ring in all its glory. By painting your nails a certain color, you pretty up your hands and immediately draw attention to that blingin' bauble on your finger. Try out a few different shades that work particularly well and see which one you like the best.
White
To best show off your sparkling diamond ring, opt for a bright white shade on your nails. The white polish instantly makes your nails look clean, long and polished, and brings out all the rainbow hues of your diamond. The darker your skin, the brighter a white you can use, to create the most contrast. Stick with a shimmery, glossy white rather than a matte shade, to avoid having it look like you spread Wite-Out all over your nails.
French Tip
The French tip nail design is classic and works well on all women. It's so versatile because it takes you from day to evening and it looks lovely no matter what you're wearing. It's a top choice if you want to show off a diamond ring, because it keeps your nails looking clean and polished but simple, so all the attention is on your bauble. You can also color your nails an allover nude shade and get the same sort of effect.
Silver
Silver plays off diamonds well, so it only makes sense to paint your nails this color if you want to bring attention to your bling. Stick with a light, shimmery metallic polish rather than one that's darker. The shimmery shade brings out the sparkle in the diamond and makes you look like you've got diamonds all over your nails too.
Red
A bright, bold red color draws attention and that means people are going to notice your diamond ring. When you really want your nails to pack a punch and draw attention to something as stunning as your diamond sparkler, red is a prime choice. You also have a lot of versatility in terms of the shades you can use; anything from a deeper cranberry red to a bright cherry red works.

No matter how beautifully colored your nails are, if you don't get them in good condition before starting, you're not going to get the results you want. Prep your nails beforehand so you get the most even, professional-looking results. Wash your hands, clean and file your nails, push back any stray cuticles and always apply two coats of polish for a solid, even finish.
