Micro-braiding is already a hot look, but when you add extensions, the sky's the limit on styles you can create. This low maintenance hairstyle has been adopted by fashionistas in different parts of the world and can last several weeks with the proper care. Micro-braiding takes time and patience. By using just a few simple techniques, you can be rocking micro-braids in no time.

1.

Using a rat-tail comb, make a small part in the hair. Take a small section of hair out of that part.

2.

Take a piece of the synthetic hair and loop it around the natural hair section. You will have three pieces of hair, with the natural hair being the middle piece.

3.

Take the right section of synthetic hair and cross it over the middle natural hair section. Then take the left synthetic hair section and cross it over the middle section. As you braid past the natural hair, pull a piece of hair from your synthetic hair to make a new middle section. Continue this pattern until you have braided it down to the desired length.

4.

Using the synthetic hair, make a slip knot at the end of the braid to secure it. You may knot the hair twice for extra security if needed.
