Lines around the mouth are no fun. But wait! Before you run and get Botox, there are some tricks that can actually help diminish those pesky lines. You just need the right tools and the right products to create a flawless face and a brilliant smile.
Using the right tools to apply your makeup can make a world of difference. Makeup by Heather A artist Heather Adessa and VanityMark Cosmetics and celebrity makeup artist Brett Freedman both suggest using a great brush. Freedman recommends going with a tight, small brush. He says that this helps the heavier product go just where you need it most.
A primer can be exactly what your skin needs to get rid of those pesky lines your fabulous smile has created. Adessa says that a silicone primer can prep the skin for foundation. She says that silcone primers, like her favorite Smashbox Foundation Primer, will fill in small and larger lines and wrinkles, leaving a perfect canvas for the rest of your makeup.
Foundations are also important when it comes to the perfect makeup application to hide those fine lines. Freedman’s favorite product to use for this purpose is a tinted moisturizer or a sheer finish foundation. His favorite tinted moisturizer is the Smashbox Sheer Focus and for fuller coverage, he loves Lorac Natural Performance for hiding those lines. Adessa loves Laura Mercier’s Silk Creme Foundation, which she says moisturizes and gives that flawless effect.
Ladies, this could be your final step to a flawless face. After all is applied and prepped, Adessa says to use a large face brush to apply a powder on your fabulous skin. She recommends dabbing it around the face, to help give it that airbrushed finish look. She also says that before you start any of this, always remember to moisturize your face after cleansing to create the most perfect condition your skin can be in.
