Your blue eyes stop 'em all dead in their tracks, and you know firsthand that blondes have more fun. Now it's time to play up your bombshell good looks with the makeup tips and tricks meant just for your coloring. Grab your makeup kit and get ready for a beauty routine that's all about you.
Face
Your blond mane catches the light around your face, illuminating your skin -- so play up that golden glow with sheer makeup in warm, shimmery shades. Choose a sheer liquid foundation with light-reflecting particles to brighten your skin, and apply it with your fingers for a natural-looking finish. Don't forget the secret weapon behind every luminous look: a highlighting product. An iridescent pinky-opal hue is ethereal with blond hair and blue eyes. Opt for a powder if your skin is oilier, a cream if your face is dry or a liquid if your complexion is well-balanced. Blend the highlighter onto your cheekbones, brow bones and the bridge of your nose to sculpt your face.
Eyes
You've been blessed with bewitching blue eyes, so go right ahead and play them up. For a more natural daytime look that's perfect for work, school or casual weekends, sweep sheer shadows in peach, amber or champagne over your lids. These golden neutrals pick up on the gold in your mane, brightening your entire face. When it's time to go glam, shimmering purple, silver or rose shadow intensifies blue peepers. Oh, and don't believe the myth that blue-eyed gals shouldn't wear blue eye shadow. Just choose a blue shade that's lighter than your eyes, suggests makeup pro Bobbi Brown in her book, "Beauty Rules."
Lashes and Brows
Blondes may have more fun, but they also tend to have very light, sparse eyelashes -- not ideal for framing those baby blues of yours. In "The 5-Minute Face," celeb makeup artist Carmindy recommends lash tinting -- a salon dye job that lasts about a month -- for blond belles. If you'd rather DIY, sweep black mascara along the tips of your lashes for a lush yet natural look. Adding some definition to your blond brows will make your blue eyes stand out even more. When styling your brows, brush them up with a brow brush and then fill them in with brow powder one shade darker than their natural color.
Lips and Cheeks
Bright colors provide contrast against light hair and keep blue-eyed blond beauties from looking washed out. To score a healthy flush, swirl sheer powder blush onto the apples of your cheeks. Shades of peachy pink, warm rose, light coral or pinky bronze are all super flattering on blondes. Opt for creamy, dewy lip gloss with just a subtle bit of shimmer. Choose shades of pink or peach for a fresh natural look, or turn up the drama with cherry red.
