Makeup highlights your best assets and even hides what women don't like sharing with the world. However, after a long day, taking off makeup and hopping into bed sounds just about ideal. The makeup and bacteria left on your face can go deep into your pores and cause breakouts and other irritations. That's why you need a good makeup remover. Some are better than others, and they'll leave you with clear, make-up free skin.

Eye Makeup Remover

One of the most stubborn things to take off is eye makeup. Thankfully eye makeup removers can get the job done. Makeup artist Mara Levarre says that the best eye makeup remover is by Klorane and it's soothing. It is infused with cornflower extract and is gentle without leaving icky, greasy residue behind. This eye makeup remover also works for those who wear contact lenses.

Budget Friendly

Women don't like spending too much on makeup, so there's no need to spend a fortune on a makeup remover. Los Angeles Salon Guide's Kirbie Johnson says Neutrogena wipes are great for those on a a budget. Although, those with sensitive or dry skin should beware, because these makeup removing wipes can cause the skin to dry out. Johnson recommends using a cleanser first, then finishing it off with the makeup remover wipes for the best results and to keep your skin from drying out.

No Irritation

Sometimes women use some of the best skin care products, but for some reason, their skin reacts and becomes irritated. Levarre recommends using Mac wipes as a quick and easy way to remove makeup. She says these doesn't irritate the skin, even after removing the most stubborn makeup. Mac wipes can also be used to freshen up skin before applying makeup. You don't have to wash your face after using Mac wipes. Levarre loves this because it leaves the skin feeling fresh and hydrated.

Dissolving Cream

Celebrity makeup artist Andrew Sotomayor recommends Raw Coconut Cream makeup remover. He says it's so gentle that is can be used on the most sensitive skin, dry skin and combination skin. The makeup remover dissolves makeup and has a creamy texture that melts on contact.
