With strong piercing black eyes and thick black hair you have a smoldering, fierce look about you. You just need to know what shades of makeup are going to bring out your deep rich assets and not turn them into beauty liabilities. With dark eyes and dark hair the world of beauty is truly endless. You don't have to run from vivid shades, and you can carry off bright colors, too, without looking like a clown. You're in the perfect position for makeup and beauty fun.

Eyes

With black eyes you can wear many different shades. Rich, vivid color will bring out the gold flecks in your eyes. Go for deep, shimmery moss greens if you're olive or tanned skinned. If your skin is fair select mauve or deep purple shades to complement dark eyes. The key to enhancing dark eyes is all about shape. Be sure to use a black eyeliner and create an attractive upper lid with strong lines.

Blush

When choosing blush it's mostly dependent on your complexion. But don't stray from color. With cascading black hair and piercing black eyes, the color in your cheeks must be emphasized. If you have brown undertones and tanned, olive or black skin, choose deep red blushes and use them lightly. This will just add a slight hint of color to the apples of your cheeks. If you're fairer skinned with red undertones, go for a subtle pink blush, to add some light to your dark features. This will create a pretty contrast.

Lips

The lips offer a chance to get slightly adventurous with color; this doesn't mean go crazy, however. Keep the shades either muted or rich. You can go for a lovely neutral gloss with a soft nude brown shade. If you have an evening event a sharp mauve or deep berry red can really give you a chic Gothic look that's ideal for your dark features.

Be Mindful of Your Skin Tone

In all selections, be mindful of your individual skin tones and your natural undertones, and try to complement them. If you have brown undertones, neutrals and reds will give you a glow. If you have gold or yellow undertones you can wear more wintry colors such as mauve purples and moss greens to highlight your natural complexion.
