Overview
You don’t have to search high and low through your pharmacy’s beauty aisle looking for a nude lip gloss to fit your complexion just right. Some nudes will turn out too dark, some too light. So think outside the box a bit here. You might even have everything you need at home or in your makeup case to make your own nude lip gloss. Not only will you have homemade lip gloss, you also have a gloss with natural ingredients that moisturize, soothe and heal your lips.
1.
Dollop your wax (beeswax or a soy wax for a vegan lip gloss) into a small microwaveable bowl.
2.
Mix in shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil and jojoba oil with a spatula.
3.
Heat the waxy mixture for about 30 to 45 seconds. Take it out and mix some more, then put it back for another 30 to 45 seconds if necessary.
4.
Add your foundation (liquid or powder) to the warm wax and mix it up quickly and thoroughly before it gets cold and hard again.
5.
Spoon the mixture into your lip balm jar when it cools. Try it out on your lips.
