Are your lips chapped, cracking and painfully dry? Say goodbye to your dry-as-the-desert pout and hello to a smooth, moisturized set of lips that can stand up to any shade of lipstick. To take care of your pucker and keep your lips soft, use a homemade mask to exfoliate your lips and remove the dead, dry skin, allowing the new, smooth skin underneath to show. Most homemade lip masks call for sugar, but the larger pieces of coarse sea salt pack more of an exfoliating punch than sugar's fine grains. You’ll have soft lips again before you know it!

1.

Mix the honey, salt and coconut oil together in a small bowl.

2.

Rub the mixture onto your lips for up to 30 seconds. Use small, circular motions.

3.

Wet the washcloth with warm water. Use the warm washcloth to wipe the mask off your lips.

4.

Examine your lips for remaining dry skin. If you find any remaining flakes, repeat the exfoliating process until your lips are smooth.

Things You'll Need

1.1 tsp. honey

3.1 tsp. coconut oil

5.Washcloth

2.1 tsp. sea salt

4.Small bowl

Tips & Tricks

Honey has anti-bacterial properties that can keep your cracked lips from getting infected.

Available at health food stores, coconut oil will seal in the moisture and help smooth your lips.

Apply lip balm after you use the mask for added moisture.
