Curls are causing fashion and beauty fires on and off the runway because of how easily they pump up hair volume. You can get curls easily at home without heat-based tools such as curling irons by using rollers instead. One of the sleekest types of curls out there is the magnetic hair roller curl.
Definition
About a dozen types of different curlers let you get the waves or curls you crave. One type is the magnetic hair roller. These rollers don't actually have any magnets in their design. People just call them magnetic because of the way wet tresses seem to be attracted and stick to the rollers; the roller still needs to be secured with pins or clips. These types of rollers are usually plastic and have ventilation holes in them. Magnetic hair rollers curls are any curls you make using this type of roller.
Size
Similar to any other type of roller, you can get magnetic hair rollers in many different sizes. This means you can do everything from the beach look to tight corkscrews, depending on the length of hair you have. If you want, you even can use different magnetic roller sizes to get a more natural and spontaneous 'do.
Curl Style
Ladies love magnetic rollers because the plastic frame creates very smooth curls. It's very easy to roll your tresses tightly around the rollers, so the curls look very defined. This is a big improvement over disasters such as brush or Velcro curlers, which have bristles or Velcro prongs sticking out everywhere that are great at holding hair — so great they don't want to let your locks go and pull out and frizz your curls as you unroll.
Drying, Styling and Cleaning
When you choose to do your curls with magnetic rollers, the potential downside is that they don't work very well with dry hair. You thus always have to have time to let the curls dry, either naturally or with a dryer. However, this is balanced somewhat by the fact that the plastic frame is so easily cleaned when you're done. You can apply as much spray, gel or mousse as you want to help set and style the curls, and at the end of the drying process, you can wash the rollers in some warm soapy water and you're good for the next curling session.
