Striking the perfect balance with your skin care -- cleansing your skin without overdrying it -- can be as simple as using a product that is pH-balanced. A cleanser that's not pH-balanced can leave your skin feeling too dry. Illuminate your skin and give it a clean, hydrated glow by determining exactly what kind of pH-balanced cleanser is right for you and finding one of that type.

Facial Cleansers for Dry Skin

While faux snake-skin prints might score you major fashion points, you don't want your skin to appear cracked and scaly. Keep your skin moisturized with a pH-balanced cleanser that contains emollients or natural oils. Try DHC Deep Cleansing Oil; it provides intense hydration with olive oil and vitamin E. Also, Olay Definity Illuminating Cream Cleanser is a sound choice because it nourishes skin with glycerin.

Facial Cleansers for Oily Skin

If your makeup tends to melt and your face looks greasy after a few hours, you may have oily skin. Stop your oil glands from sabotaging your makeup with a cleanser designed specifically to help control excess oil. Look for a pH-balanced cleanser that contains salicylic acid or tea tree oil which also reduce acne breakouts. Phisoderm Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash, Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash and DDF Blemish Foaming Cleanser all promote clearer skin and a balanced pH.

Facial Cleansers for Sensitive Skin

When it comes to style, sometimes less is more. When it comes to sensitive skin, less is always best. You should use a pH-balanced cleanser with a few mild, effective and, whenever possible, natural ingredients. One such cleanser is L’Occitane Shea Butter Milk Extra Gentle Soap. In addition to softening shea butter, it uses a vegetable-based cleanser instead of harsh sulfates. It's not a problem if your pH-balanced cleanser isn't all natural. Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar and Purpose Gentle Cleansing Bar don't include natural additives, but they are both gentle enough for sensitive skin.

Cleansers for Your Body

Though the skin on your face is the most exposed, that doesn't mean you can't show your body a little love with a pH-balanced body cleanser. Turn your bath or shower time into a treat with a body wash that not only gets you clean and refreshed but also preserves your body's natural oils for a soft, moisturized feeling. Jason Pure, Natural & Organic Tea Tree Satin Shower Body Wash is free of harsh detergents and drying parabens. Sage Body Wash vegan and pH-balanced formula is another that promotes supple skin.
