Background and Philosophy
The Life is good brand was started in the late 1980s by two brothers, Bert and John Jacobs, who sold handmade T-shirts up and down the East Coast. In 1994, they started making shirts featuring an enthusiastically grinning cartoon face they called Jake, paired with the words, "Life is good." The shirts were a hit. The Life is good line of products has gradually grown to include merchandise of every conceivable type, all sporting the brand's signature tag line and a grinning Jake -- or, for the ladies -- a grinning Jackie. Life is good clothing still promotes its founders' original values of optimism and simplicity.
Life Is Good Clothing
The Life is good line contains a plethora of clothing choices for women, including long- and short-sleeved T-shirts, tank tops, jackets, hooded sweatshirts, shorts and lounge pants as well as pajama tops and bottoms. The T-shirts and lounge pants are all 100 percent cotton and the sweatshirts are a combo of cotton and poly fleece. All items are offered in a range of easy-on-the-eye shades: lavender, light green, marmalade, light blue, cream, pink, oatmeal and cafe (otherwise known as chocolaty light brown). The designs featured on each are unflaggingly optimistic, from flowers to a hammock to a bathtub full of steaming hot water. Paired with perky lines such as "Life is good," "Simplify" and "The littlest things in life are the big things," you just can't help but go all warm and fuzzy.
Life is Good Accessories
Life is good also carries a large line of women's accessories. You can get caps, hats and visors featuring sweetly feminine embroidered pictures like daisies, hearts, cats and guitars as well as rolltop, ankle or fuzzy socks and footsie slippers in Life is good's characteristic bright pastel colors. Duffel bags, totes, yoga bags, clutches, cinch sacks and handbags are also available.
Return Policy
The merchandise isn't the only thing that makes Life is good's stuff...well, good: it's also got a no-risk return policy. If you return items within 90 days of your original purchase using standard mail, Life is good will not only refund the entire purchase price, the company will pay for all shipping charges. If you're exchanging an item, it'll also pay for the UPS Ground shipping charges as it wends its way back to you. Even if you return an item after 90 days, you're not hung out to dry -- Life is good will issue you a gift certificate equal to the price of the item.
