Navy sequined dresses are to die for. They are the ultimate in party girl attire. Navy is flattering for blondes and brunettes, and is dark enough to be slimming, just like black. But it's not black: That little touch of blue is the perfect wild card that will turn heads regardless of where you are.
Peep Toes
First of all, you need to be looking at heels. If you're not a heels type of girl, you're not a navy sequined dress type of girl. Black shoes are a sleek addition to your overall look, and you can't go wrong with them. Try a closed toe pump, or let your piggies peep out. What kind of polish should you get at your pedicure? Red, of course.
Colored Pumps
You need not stick to black when it comes to shoes. Navy can be paired with any color your heart desires, really. Choose a silver pump to play up the white light reflected from those sequins. Pair pink with your blue dress for a girly touch. A contrasting, lighter shade of blue will be quite pretty in a platform, too.
Boots
Just because the temperatures start to dip does not mean you have to give up this little dress. Still, you just need the right pair of boots to keep its sex appeal alive without being revealing or tacky. The answer is a pair of over-the-knee boots. Just keep a few things in mind. Don't go above 5 inches on the heel. Make sure the boot is tight to your leg all the way up. Do not, under any circumstances, choose patent boots. And stick to black.
What To Avoid
Sometimes, in fashion, contrast looks cool. A little bit of high fashion mixed with a little bit of low is often touted as the next big thing. But sometimes the contrast is too much. Subtle is the way forward. Because there's nothing subtle about a navy sequined dress, there's no such thing as a subtle contrast. Pair dressy with dressy. Don't go thinking you can put your Dr. Martens or roughed up motorcycle boots with your sequins and start a trend. You can't.
