Ahh, wide-leg pants -- they may not always be in style, but all fashionable ladies have to do is wait long enough, and a trend always comes back. If you're a little rusty on your wide-leg styling or if you just weren't around during the last decade when they were "in," don't fret. Tons of fantastic ways allow you to pull off the look. First, start with your shoes.

Pumps instantly make your wide-leg pant look more chic and elegant. Adding a little height also helps to balance out the width of your pant. Just make sure that pants are long enough for your heels. They should hit far enough down so that when you stand you see the heel but not much else. Try your pumps with wide-leg slacks to make them perfect for work or use them to dress up wide-leg jeans.

Sandals make your wide-leg pants look a little more relaxed. Try a dressy, strappy heeled sandal or slip on a flat sandal. Again, just pay extra attention to the length of your pant. When you wear flats, your wide-leg pants should drag along the ground. You'll want them to sit just a little past your ankle.

Jewel-Tone Velvet Heels

Work that '70s vibe in a super modern way by slipping on a pair of wide-leg jeans or slacks paired with a rich jewel-toned velvet heel. This look is a fab way to add a dose of color to your wardrobe during the cooler months. Up top, try a blouse and blazer, turtleneck or fitted sweater or tee.

Ballet Flats

If you're looking to go comfy and elegant, try a pair of ballet flats. They're perfect if you want to look fashionable but have to spend a lot of time on your feet. Even if you'll be sitting, ballet flats look awesome with wide-leg pants. They'll work with anything from jeans to dressier trousers, so pick your favorite.
