A great pink lipstick is a must-have in any gal's makeup case. Depending on the shade, it can be your go-to color for every occasion. The right pink lipstick can make you feel pretty and enhance your look -- without requiring high maintenance. But why have just one shade when there are so many available? Before you blow your hard-earned dough on several sassy shades, know which pink is going to enhance your warm skin tone.

Warm Skin Tone

It's super simple to tell if you have a warm skin tone. Take a look in the mirror. If your skin is pale with peach or golden undertones or brown with golden or pink undertones, you are a warm. You can also tell if you have a warm skin tone by looking at your veins. Warm-skinned ladies will have greenish tinted veins. Warm-skinned gals will have hair that has natural warm, yellow or golden tones.

The Perfect Pink

Gals with warm skin tones should stay away from pink lipsticks that are super pink. That goes for pink shades that have a blue undertone as well. These shades will wash you out. Skip the hot-pink or rose shades, and instead go for colors that are more orangey. You'll also want to avoid frosted or opaque lipsticks.

Your Perfect Shade

To look your best you want to pick a shade of pink that's a "peachy pink." This means coral, peach, mango and strawberry shades. Try not to go too light, especially gals with super-pale skin. For everyday use, go for something that looks natural. If you're getting ready for a night out, opt for a peach-based pink that's rich and bold. Sneak a red-orange shade into your makeup case if you're looking for something darker.

Other Makeup Tips

When it comes to the rest of your makeup, warm skin tones should still stay away from products that have a pink or blue tint to them. When it comes to foundation, try a shade with a yellow undertone like wheat, honey, cream or beige. Go for blush that lives in the same color family as your lipstick choice. As for your eyes, to look fabulously natural, choose an eye shadow that complements your skin tone. Pretty options include beige gold, eggshell, taupe or olive.
