It doesn't matter how fab the outfit, you can make or break it depending on how you accessorize it. The wrong necklace can completely ruin your look. So, when you slip on that scoop-neck top or dress, wear a necklace that makes it roar.
Long Necklace
You want to make sure that your necklace doesn't compete with the neckline of your top, and one that's much longer than your neckline is a good choice. Longer pearls look chic. If you want them to look more dramatic, try a double- or triple-beaded necklace. Lockets and necklaces with charms work well here, too, as a longer necklace.
Statement Necklace
If you're working with a simple top, a statement necklace works perfectly with your scoop-neck. Just make sure that it sits a little bit higher than the neckline of your top. Statement necklaces are aptly named: They're generally chunky, creative and super interesting and become the "wow" piece of your look, so be prepared for the necklace to be the main attraction.
Keep It Delicate
Go to the other extreme with a delicate necklace. Either a short or long one works with a scoop-neck. But it looks best if the necklace is either much shorter or much longer than your neckline so it stands out.
Dare to Go Bare
Sometimes the best necklace to wear with a scoop-neck is no necklace at all. The neckline is flattering on every woman, so if you really want to show off your fab features, opt for a bare neck instead. This works especially well if your scoop-neck piece is embellished. Sometimes simple is the best way to go. If you opt for spare and bare, express your glam side in attention-getting earrings.
