Once you've got your outfit nailed, it's time to move on to other important things, like your makeup. Creating a flawless face that works with your ensemble can be just as important as the ensemble itself. If you're sporting a blue shirt, learn how to make it look even better with the right makeup.

Go Natural

Especially if you're sporting a soft blue hue, natural makeup is a fantastic way to go. It'll continue to soften your look and make you look super feminine. Try a subtle pink blush, a bit of eyeliner and mascara -- try brown, unless you have black hard, in which case black works well-- and a nude or soft pink lip.

Smoky Eye

If you're wearing your blue top in the evening, make it sexier by rocking a smoky eye. Black or charcoal eye in the side and upper creases of the eye looks fab. Add black liner and an ample helping of black mascara and keep the rest of your makeup neutral. A nude lip works best here. You'll want your eyes to be the star of the show.

Red Lip

If you're wearing a richer shade like navy, a vibrant red is the perfect complementary pop of color. The shades will both be amped up just the right amount by each other. Not to mention a red lip is just so much fun! Be sure to keep the rest of your makeup simple. Try skipping the eye color or opting for a natural shade on the eyes.

Bright in Berry

If red is just too bold for you, try a berry shade. It'll still give you a pop of color without being quite so intense. Any variation of the shade will work, so try a deeper berry with purple undertones or go for a brighter more pink shade. Try the color with a vibrant teal top. Since you're still working with a bright color, you'll want to keep the rest of your makeup minimal here too.
