Leggings are a classic wardrobe staple. They can be dressed up or down. You can wear them alone or underneath a fabulous skirt. They can also be used as a fashion statement. Natalie Portman sported them for her Oscar-winning performance as a dancer in "Black Swan." Avoid getting as stressed as the disturbed character she played in the film by keeping your leggings up and in place no matter where you're wearing them.
Try to get very precise when choosing which size leggings to wear. If they are too tight, they'll likely bunch down pretty quickly. Also, if they're too loose, it will be hard to keep them up at all. Only wear leggings that are just your size.
Use clothing tape. It's available at many department stores and fashion shops. Opt for a medical grade adhesive that sticks to both the fabric of your leggings and your skin. Voila! You should have leggings that stay up until you're ready to take 'em off!
Dare to experiment with fashion for the sake of comfort. Try wearing shorts over your leggings. Opt for a comfortable pair of shorts that easily stay in place with a zipper or button fly. If you're wearing leggings under a skirt, the extra layer of shorts will obviously be invisible, but you'll feel so much sexier when you're not having to hike up those leggings throughout the day.
If you are wearing your leggings while being very physically active, try tucking a thin undershirt into the leggings as your bottom layer. It will stop the sweat from getting to the waistband of your leggings, and this may prevent those leggings from inching down at some inopportune moment. Those embarrassing mishaps will be a thing of the past!
If you must wear a pair of leggings that are just too loose, try wearing a couple of layers of underwear beneath the leggings. It not only will help you look a bit curvier, but it will also keep those leggings up and where they should be!
Don't wear a pair of leggings out on the town until you've worn them around the house for an hour or two. The last thing you want to do is realize that the new brand of leggings you're wearing is cut differently than expected. Losing your leggings as you walk up the stairs would be a definite fashion faux pas!
