Details are never minor when it comes to your personal grooming regimen. Soft and healthy skin is the ideal canvas upon which to showcase your unique choices in fashion and makeup. If your lips are dry, peeling or cracked, your "H2T (head to toe) chic" look falls short. Regardless of the season or the weather, keep your lips as silky and smooth as the rest of your body by moisturizing them with jojoba essential oil.

About Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is actually a wax ester extracted from the seeds of the jojoba tree. Because it is a wax ester, and not strictly an oil, it doesn't spoil like many other oils. Its composition closely mimics that of natural sebum, the skin's own natural hydrating oils, allowing it to alleviate dryness better than other botanicals.

Jojoba Oil Benefits

Jojoba contains antioxidants that can prevent cellular damage to the skin and hair. It penetrates the surface layer of the skin and doesn't evaporate like water-based moisturizers. These properties make it ideal for healing the tender tissues of chapped lips. No amount of lipstick can hide parched lips. Jojoba may just be your answer to a sexy, beautiful smile.

Soothing Chapped Lips With Jojoba

Jojoba oil can be used to help chapped lips recover with repeated use. After washing your face, or after eating or drinking, apply a drop or two to your lips to add moisture and speed healing. Before bed, rubbing jojoba oil on your lips can allow the delicate skin to hydrate overnight for a more attractive smile in the morning. Awake to kissably soft lips!

Making Jojoba Lip Balm

Melt 2 tbsp. of 100 percent pure cocoa butter or coconut oil with 1 tbsp. each aloe vera gel and jojoba oil. You may add 1/2 tsp. of a flavored extract such as peppermint, orange or vanilla for a nice flavor. Remove from heat before the mixture boils and stir well. Cool the blend until just above room temperature, and pour the liquid into containers. Leave the containers uncovered as the lip balm continues to cool and become solid. Apply to your lips with your fingertips.
